True to its name, Space Empires: Battle for Supremacy has some lofty ambitions. A spirited Facebook port of a 17-year-old cult PC franchise seasoned with a dash of Farmville, a hint of StarCraft, and a thick topping of Imperion, Space Empires was developed by Nvinium Games in the hopes of bridging “the gap between the traditional gamer and the social gamer.” According to some, galactic dominance may be an easier goal, but Nvinium has made an impressive effort here that shouldn’t be missed.

The iPhone is great at re-kindling our nostalgia for the games we used to play, with different levels of success. Blackout City is a direct descendent of an old game from my childhood called City Connection that I was quite fond of, so I was pretty excited to get the chance to review it. My feelings were quickly dashed though as I discovered that the makers of Blackout City made a few weird choices, and even worse a few lazy ones as well.

Time Management as a genre has been mobile for quite some time. Diner Dash pretty much set the whole train in motion and has been on phones for years now. While managing a diner has spread to bakeries, zoos, farms and god knows what else not much has changed in the style of gameplay the games offer.
